Sand Riders

Sand Riders are part of sport that focuses on the abilities of an individual to navigate through sandy terrain while driving an ATV or motorcycles in a similar category.

It is a very popular sport practiced by by riders resident in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Some of the best spots for Sand Riders are located in areas which are close to desert regions and other areas that may have terrain which is difficult to navigate.

Different vehicles

Among the list of such vehicles are the ATV’s otherwise known as All-Terrain Vehicles which are made by a number of manufacturers in the industry such as Arctic Cat, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki.

Different kinds of All-Terrain Vehicles include the 3-wheeler versions and the 4-wheeler versions. Among the motorcycles used in sand riding activity include, Yamaha and other manufacturers such as Honda. Sand riders use special motorcycles which are known as dirt bikes and which come with special modifications to help them cope with the sandy terrain.

Of the many events during the year one includes the popular MotoCross events which take place around the world annually. You find a lot or sand riders from different countries participating at such events for the fun or in order to win.

The AMA Motocross Championship is held annually in the United States with 12 rounds held over 12 main tracks in the U.S. The Grand Prix is usually held in Europe, South Africa or Japan , more recently the world over and has two classes of competition the MX1 and MX2.
